A putter fitting often means trying different style of putters, different shaft lengths and maybe different style hosels. If loft adjustments are available this is normally made by bending the putter until the correct loft is set. This changes the loft but it also changes how the putter sits on the floor, so all of a sudden you start fiddling with the putter to have it sit correctly, this makes the golfer feel uncomfortable over the put, and this is not good.
